NAME PLATE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM

    Tech Tips

    When installing the symbol emblem, heat the vehicle body and the symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or the symbol emblem excessively.


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new symbol emblem.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a symbol emblem.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the symbol emblem.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the boss positions and install the symbol emblem.

        Tech Tips

        Press the symbol emblem firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 2 back door name plate, heat the vehicle body and the symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or the No. 2 back door name plate excessively.


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new No. 2 back door name plate.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and the No. 2 back door name plate.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 2 back door name plate.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 2 back door name plate in the position shown in the installation.

  3. INSTALL NO. 6 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 6 back door name plate, heat the vehicle body and the symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or the No. 6 back door name plate excessively.


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the No. 6 back door name plate.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new No. 6 back door name plate.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and the No. 6 back door name plate.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the No. 6 back door name plate.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the No. 6 back door name plate in the position as shown in the illustration.
