NAME PLATE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

    Tech Tips

    When removing the symbol emblem, heat the vehicle body and symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or symbol emblem excessively.

      *3 Piano Wire
      *4 Boss

      Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss positions.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the symbol emblem.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 2 back door name plate, heat the vehicle body and the No. 2 back door name plate using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 2 back door name plate excessively.

      Put protective tape around the No. 2 back door name plate.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 2 back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 2 back door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the No. 2 back door name plate.

  3. REMOVE NO. 6 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 6 back door name plate, heat the vehicle body and the No. 6 back door name plate using a heat light.

    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or the No. 6 back door name plate excessively.
