BLACK OUT TAPE(for Front Door) REMOVAL

Tech Tips

When removing the black out tape, heat the vehicle body surface and black out tape using a heat light.

Heating Temperature
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Black Out Tape 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body or black out tape excessively.

  1. REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

  4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE


    1. Heat the vehicle body surface and the No. 1 black out tape using a heat light.

      Pull back an edge of the No. 1 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE


    1. Heat the vehicle body surface and the No. 2 black out tape using a heat light.

      Pull back an edge of the No. 2 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
