BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM

2. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH UPPER MOULDING PROTECTOR

   Tech Tips

   When installing the back door garnish upper moulding protector, heat the back door garnish upper moulding protector and back door outside garnish sub-assembly using a heat light.

   Heating Temperature
   Item Temperature Back door outside garnish sub-assembly 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Back door garnish upper moulding protector 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   Note

   Do not heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly or back door garnish upper moulding protector excessively.

   
   

   1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Install the back door garnish upper moulding protector.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and the back door garnish upper moulding protector.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door garnish upper moulding protector.

         Tech Tips

         After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the new back door garnish upper moulding protector.

3. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH MOULDING PROTECTOR LH

   Tech Tips

   When installing the back door garnish moulding protector LH, heat the back door garnish moulding protector LH and the back door outside garnish sub-assembly using a heat light.

   Heating Temperature
   Item Temperature Back door outside garnish sub-assembly 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Back door garnish moulding protector LH 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   Note

   Do not heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly or the back door garnish moulding protector LH excessively.

   
   

   1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. Install the back door garnish moulding protector LH.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and the back door garnish moulding protector LH.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door garnish moulding protector LH.

         Tech Tips

         After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the new back door garnish moulding protector LH.

4. INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH MOULDING PROTECTOR RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

5. INSTALL BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Engage the 6 clips.

   2. Install the back door outside garnish sub-assembly with the 2 nuts and bolt.

   3. Connect the connector.

7. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

9. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

10. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD

    Click here
