ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING CLIP

    Note


    • If reusing the clips, do not remove the double sided tape remaining on the clips and where the clips will be installed on the body.

    • If installing new clips, remove the double-sided tape remaining where the clips will be installed on the body and clean the body with a non-residue solvent.

      *1 Adhesive
      *a 2 to 3 mm Bead of Adhesive

      Apply a 2 to 3 mm (0.0787 to 0.118 in.) bead of adhesive (3M DP-105 or equivalent) to new roof drip side finish moulding clips.

      Tech Tips

      Adhesive strength (tensile strength): 13.7 Mpa (140 kgf/cm2, 1987 psi) or more when the temperature is 23°C (73°F)

      Install new 2 clips in the positions as shown in the illustration. Press in the clips by hand (except Glass Roof).

      *a 1.8 mm (0.070 in.)
      *b 3.3 mm (0.129 in.)
      *c 2.3 mm (0.090 in.)
      *d 5.7 mm (0.224 in.)
      *e 6.2 mm (0.244 in.)

      Note

      After pressing in the clips, wait 30 minutes or more before installing the roof drip side finish moulding.

      Tech Tips


      • Minimum hardening time: 30 minutes

      • Time needed for complete hardening: 24 hours

    3. A005K0ME01

      Install new 2 clips in the positions as shown in the illustration. Press in the clips by hand (for Glass Roof).

      *b 2.1 mm (0.087 in.)
      *c 2.6 mm (0.102 in.)
      *d 2.3 mm (0.090 in.)
      e 5.7 mm (0.224 in.)
      *f 6.2 mm (0.244 in.)

      Note

      After pressing in the clips, wait 30 minutes or more before installing the roof drip side finish moulding.

  2. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING (except Glass Roof)


    1. A005IK8

      Engage the 2 clips and install the roof drip side finish moulding.

    2. Remove the protective tape.

  3. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING (for Glass Roof)


    1. A005IPW

      Engage the 2 clips and install the roof drip side finish moulding.

    2. Remove the protective tape.
