DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the ignition switch, and sends it to the headlight leveling ECU assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (+B)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU)


    1. Disconnect the A43 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A43-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      A43-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch off Below 1 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU - BODY GROUND)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A43-9 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU)


    1. Disconnect the 3A instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3A-52 - A43-1 (IG) Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3A-52 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
