  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER SUPPORT (w/ Entry and Start System)

  2. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

    1. Release the tilt lever, and fully extend and lower the steering column assembly.

    2. Remove the screw from the lower portion of the lower steering column cover.

      While turning the steering wheel assembly to the right and left, remove the 2 screws.

      Push the right and left sides of the lower steering column cover to disengage the 4 claws and remove the lower steering column cover.

  3. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

    1. Disengage the claw and remove the upper steering column cover.

  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      If the claw is pushed with excessive force, it may break.
