OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR


    1. Install the wire harness


      1. A005HDV

        Pass the new wire harness through the outer mirror retractor.

        Connect the connector and install the cap

    2. Install the mirror actuator


      1. A005M7R

        Connect the 2 connectors.

      2. Engage the new wire harness to the clamp.

      3. A005H3R

        Install the mirror actuator with the 2 screws.

    3. Install the mirror actuator and frame sub-assembly


      1. Pass the wire harnesses through the housing.

      2. A005LUH

        Slide the guide in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

      3. A005LNV

        Install the actuator with frame sub-assembly with the 3 screws.

    4. Install the base


      1. Pass the wire harness through the base.

      2. A005HEA

        Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the base with 3 new screws.

        Torque:
        3.8 N*m  { 39 kgf*cm, 34 in.*lbf }

        Note

        When installing the base, check that the wire harness is not caught between the base and housing. Failure to do so may cause a short circuit.

      3. Install the wire harness as shown in the illustration.

    5. Install the mirror cover lower

        Attach the 7 claws to install the new mirror cover lower.

    6. Install the gasket


      1. A005J46

        Pass the wire harness through the new gasket.

      2. Engage the 6 guides and install the gasket to the base.

        *1 Marking

        Align the marking (pink) on the wire harness with the protrusion of the gasket and fit the wire harness under the gasket.

    7. Install the connector

        *a Wire harness routing

        Connect the connector of the shorter wire harness to the adapter.

      2. Route the longer wire harness as shown in the illustration and connect the connector to the adapter.

        *1 Protective tape

        Wrap the wire harness with protective tape.
