  1. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

      Check the operation of the outer rear view mirror assembly. (w/o Retract Mirror)


      1. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the outer rear view mirror assembly.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (MV)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (M+)

        Turns upward

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (M+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (MV)

        Turns downward

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (M+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (MH)

        Turns left

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (MH)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (M+)

        Turns right

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly.

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror assembly.

  2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR LH (w/ Retract Mirror)

    1. Check the retractable mirror's movement.


      1. For each position: Disconnect the battery, set the mirror position by hand, connect the battery, and check the retractable mirror's movement.

        Note


        • Disconnect and reconnect the battery between each mirror position check.

        • The mirror position cannot be changed manually when the battery is connected.

        • To change the mirror position manually, the battery must be disconnected first.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.
