Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RHD and LHD vehicle.
The procedure listed below is for the LHD vehicle.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (w/ Power Window)
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 8 claws, remove the rear door upper armrest base panel.
Disconnect the connector (w/ Power Window).
REMOVE REAR DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (w/o Power Window)
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the rear door upper armrest base panel (w/ Power Window).
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)

Remove the rear door window regulator handle shaft snap ring and rear door window regulator handle assembly.
Remove the rear door regulator inside handle plate.
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Using a screw driver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.
Remove the screws.
Remove the 2 screws.
Using a clip remover, disengage the 7 clips.
Lift up the rear door trim board sub-assembly and remove it from the rear door panel.

Disconnect the rear door lock remote control cable assembly and the rear door inside locking cable assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 guides and the rear door inside handle sub-assembly from the rear door trim board sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP
Disengage the 7 claws and remove the rear door glass inner weatherstrip from the rear door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the rear door service hole cover.
Note
Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the bolt and screw, and the rear door window division bar sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR GUIDE SEAL
Remove the bolt and 2 screws, and the rear door rear guide seal.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
Slide the lower section of the rear door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrow in the order as shown in the illustration.
Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the rear door glass sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL FILLER

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, remove the rear door glass channel sub-assembly.
Note
Do not damage the door glass.
Remove the rear door glass channel filler.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Window)
Disconnect the connector.

Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator sub-assembly may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Remove the temporary bolt and the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
Remove the 3 bolts and the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN
Remove the rear door glass run.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT WINDOW FRAME MOULDING
REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 bolts and the rear door check assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER
Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw and remove the rear door outside handle cover.
Tech Tips
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
Remove the rear door outside handle assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.
Note
The release plate may interfere with the rear door outside handle assembly and may be damaged when removing the rear door outside handle assembly, unless the release plate of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly is pulled and held.
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Disengage the 3 claws and remove the rear door front outside handle pad.
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw.

Remove the grommet from the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
Slide the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly and disengage the 2 claws of the rear door outside handle frame sub-assembly, and then remove it.
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH
Disengage the clip and remove the rear door frame garnish.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP
Remove the clip A.
Using a clip remover, disengage the 17 clips and remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
REMOVE NO.4 BLACK OUT TAPE
REMOVE NO.3 BLACK OUT TAPE
