Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RHD and LHD vehicle.
The procedure listed below is for the LHD vehicle.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE FRONT UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 9 claws.
Disconnect the connector and remove the front upper armrest base panel.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

Using a screw driver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.
Remove the screw.
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the 8 clips.
Lift up the front door trim board sub-assembly and remove it from the door panel.

Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and the front door inside locking cable assembly.
Disconnect the No. 2 front speaker connector (for 6 Speakers).
REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 4 guides and the front door inside handle sub-assembly from the front door trim board sub-assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP
Disengage the 7 claws and remove the front door glass inner weatherstrip from the front door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 6 Speakers)
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the front door service hole cover.
Tech Tips
Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door panel.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and the power window regulator master switch assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
Note
After the bolts are removed, do not allow the front door glass sub-assembly to fall.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the connector.
Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the front door window regulator sub-assembly may fall and cause damage.
Remove the 5 bolts.
Remove the temporary bolt and the front door window regulator sub-assembly.
REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION
Remove the 2 bolts.
Peel the double-sided tape and remove the No. 1 front door stiffener cushion.

REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN
Remove the front door glass run.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts.
Disengage the guide and remove the front door rear lower frame sub-assembly.
REMOVE OUTER MIRROR INSTALL HOLE COVER
REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING
REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 bolts and the front door check assembly.
REMOVE HOLE PLUG (for Front Side)
Remove the hole plug.
REMOVE HOLE PLUG (for Rear Side)
Remove the hole plug.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH (for Driver Side)
Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover.
Tech Tips
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle cover.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side)
Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover RH.
Tech Tips
The screw cannot be removed because it is integrated into the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)
Remove the front door outside handle assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)
Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clamps.

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and open the connector cover.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the front door outside handle assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD
Disengage the 3 claws and remove the front door outside handle front pad.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front door outside handle rear pad.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY
Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp and disconnect the wire harness (w/ Entry and Start System).
Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, loosen the screw.

Slide the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly and disengage the grommet and 3 claws of the front door outside handle frame sub-assembly, and then remove it.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK OPEN ROD

Remove the front door lock open rod as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH
Disengage the clip and remove the door frame garnish.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
Using a clip remover, remove the clip (A) and the clip (B).
Using a clip remover, disengage the 15 clips and remove the front door weatherstrip.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL CUSHION
Remove the 2 front door panel cushions.
REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE
REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE
