HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A005JB1

      Remove the 3 bolts and the hood lock assembly.

    2. A005LYE

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A005IYM

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 4 clamps and the grommet as shown in the illustration.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 4 clamps and the grommet as shown in the illustration.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
