FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and remove the front wiper arm head cap.

  2. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the nut, and the front wiper main arm.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      *1 Rope
      *a Head of the Front Wiper Sub Arm

      Twist a rope around the front wiper sub arm at the area shown in the illustration and pull the rope upward to disengage and remove the front wiper arm and blade assembly.

      Note


      • If you forcibly disengage the front wiper sub arm in the incorrect direction, it could be deformed or damaged.

      • If you forcibly pry off the front wiper main arm or front wiper sub arm, the joint section on the end of the front wiper arm could be deformed or damaged.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL LH

    1. Disengage the clip A.

    2. Peel off the double - sided tape and disengage the claw.

    3. Disengage the clip B as shown in the illustration and remove the clip A and the front No. 2 fender to cowl side seal LH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 FENDER TO COWL SIDE SEAL RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the washer hose.

    2. A005J1I

      Remove the 2 clips.

    3. Disengage the 5 claws and 11 guides.

    4. Pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

    1. Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. A005M85E01

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the grommet and remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the connector.

  7. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the windshield wiper link rod from the crank arm pivot of the windshield wiper motor assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and the windshield wiper motor assembly from the windshield wiper link assembly.
