INITIALIZATION
Perform Registration (VIN registration) when replacing the ECM.
Perform initialization (throttle position) after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly or cleaning any throttle body components.
Perform initialization (throttle position) after reconnecting the battery cable or replacing the ECM.
Perform reset memory (A/T initialization) when replacing the automatic transmission assembly, engine assembly or ECM.
If the ECM is replaced, register the ECM communication ID for the immobiliser system (refer to the Service Bulletin for Registration).
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.
WHEN USING GTS
Observe the following items for safety reasons:
Before using the GTS, read the instruction manual.
Prevent the GTS cable from being caught on the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel when driving with the GTS connected to the vehicle.
When driving the vehicle for testing purposes using the GTS, 2 persons are required. One drives the vehicle, and the other operates the GTS.
