PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL


    1. B001QBYN01

      Using SST and a hammer, install a new front oil pump oil seal.

      SST
      09350-30020   ( 09351-32140 )
      Oil seal drive in depth
      -0.2 to 0.2 mm (-0.00787 to 0.00787 in.)

      Tech Tips

      The front oil pump oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    2. Coat the front oil pump oil seal lip with MP grease.

  2. FIX SECURE FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front oil pump body sub-assembly on the torque converter assembly.

  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR

      Coat the front oil pump driven gear with ATF.

    2. Install the front oil pump driven gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR


    1. B001PG0

      Coat the front oil pump drive gear with ATF.

    2. Install the front oil pump drive gear to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING

      Coat a new front oil pump body O-ring with ATF and install it to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY

      Align the bolt holes of the stator shaft assembly with the bolt holes of the front oil pump body subassembly and install the stator shaft assembly to the front oil pump body sub-assembly.

    2. Using T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the stator shaft assembly with 14 screws.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 110 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING


    1. A01A5EDN02

      Coat 3 new clutch drum oil seal rings with ATF.

    2. Squeeze the ends of the 3 clutch drum oil seal rings so that the gap distance becomes 8 mm or less, and then install them to the stator shaft assembly groove.

      Note

      Do not expand the ring ends excessively.

      Tech Tips

      After installing the clutch drum oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  8. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION

  9. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT O-RING

      Coat a new stator shaft O-ring with ATF and install it to the oil pump assembly.
