РЫЧАГ ПЕРЕКЛЮЧЕНИЯ ПЕРЕДАЧ ПРОВЕРКА БЕЗ СНЯТИЯ С АВТОМОБИЛЯ

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK SHIFT LOCK OPERATION

   
   

   1. Apply the parking brake.

   2. When moving the shift lever from P to R with the engine switch on (IG) and the brake pedal depressed, make sure that the shift lever moves smoothly and correctly into the position.

   3. Start the engine and make sure that the vehicle moves forward when moving the shift lever from N to D and moves rearward when moving the shift lever to R.

      If the operation cannot be done as specified, inspect the park/neutral position switch assembly and check the shift lever assembly installation condition.

2. CHECK SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON OPERATION

   
   

   1. Apply the parking brake.

   2. When moving the shift lever with the shift lock release button pressed, check that the shift lever can be moved to any position other than P.

      If the operation cannot be done as specified, check the shift lever assembly installation condition.

3. CHECK KEY INTERLOCK OPERATION

   
   

   1. Apply the parking brake.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever to any position other than P.
