AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/o PTC Heater)


    1. Disconnect the connector and disengage each clamp.

    2. Disengage the 3 screws and guide, and remove the blower assembly.

  2. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater)


    1. Remove the felt tape to the extent that the screw can be removed.

    2. A003YHY

      Remove the screw and disconnect the quick heater connector.

    3. Disengage each clamp.

    4. Disconnect the connector.

    5. Disengage the 3 screws and guide, and remove the blower assembly.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A003YX7

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 air duct sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 air duct sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE ASPIRATOR (for LHD)

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the aspirator.

  6. REMOVE ASPIRATOR (for RHD)

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the aspirator.

  7. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. Disengage each clamp and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

  8. REMOVE AIR MIX CONTROL SERVO MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A003YRH

      Remove the 3 screws and air mix control servo motor sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR MIX CONTROL SERVO MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws and No. 2 air mix control servo motor sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE AIR OUTLET CONTROL SERVO MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws and air outlet control servo motor sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE QUICK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater)


    1. for LHD:


      1. A003YQD

        Disengage 3 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws.

      3. A003X3C

        Remove the quick heater assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A003YBK

        Disengage the 3 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws.

        Remove the quick heater assembly as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the screw and clamp.

  13. REMOVE CONSOLE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the console mounting bracket RH.

  14. REMOVE CONSOLE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

      Remove the screw and console mounting bracket LH.

  15. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the air conditioning amplifier assembly as shown in the illustration.

  16. REMOVE DRAIN COOLER HOSE


    1. A003YAF

      Remove the drain cooler hose as shown in the illustration.

  17. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE


    1. A003XJY

      Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 hexagon bolts and cooler expansion valve.

  18. REMOVE COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the packing.

      Note

      Remove the packing carefully because it will be reused.

      Remove the 4 screws.

    3. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the lower heater case.

    4. A003Y30

      Disengage the clamp and remove the cooler evaporator sub-assembly with the No. 1 cooler thermistor.

    5. A003WXT

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR

      Remove the No. 1 cooler thermistor.
