SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the H19 combination meter assembly connector.

      A003ZIUE09
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      H19-4 (RRSB) - Body ground* R - Body ground Rear RH seat belt buckle switch signal Rear RH seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher
      H19-4 (RRSB) - Body ground* R - Body ground Rear RH seat belt buckle switch signal Rear RH seat belt unfastened Below 1 Ω
      H19-5 (RCSB) - Body ground* L - Body ground Rear center seat belt buckle switch signal Rear center seat belt fastened 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the H19 combination meter assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      H19-21 (IG2) - Body ground BR - Body ground Power switch power supply Power switch off Below 1 V
      H19-21 (IG2) - Body ground BR - Body ground Power switch power supply Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, the combination meter assembly may have a malfunction.

  2. MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the H16 and H18 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      H18-3 (LCTY) - Body ground G - Body ground Rear door courtesy light switch LH input Rear door LH closed (OFF) → open (ON) 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω
      H16-6 (RCTY) - Body ground G - Body ground Rear door courtesy light switch RH input Rear door closed (OFF) → open (ON) 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.
