FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

      Engage the 2 hooks and 2 handle ends to install the seat track adjusting handle.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. A003XNS

      Install the separate type front seatback spring assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the front seat wire.

  4. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Engage the 2 clamps to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side)

      Install the seat position airbag sensor to the seat slide position sensor protector with the pin as shown in the illustration.

      Using a 1.3 mm (0.0512 in.) feeler gauge, temporarily install the seat position airbag sensor with the "TORX" screw.

      Note


      • If the seat position airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the seat position airbag sensor with a new one.

      • When installing the seat position airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is pinched between other parts.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure that the clearance between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail is between 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) and 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

    3. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" screw to install the seat position airbag sensor.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Make sure that the clearance between the seat position airbag sensor and seat rail is between 0.6 mm (0.0236 in.) and 2.0 mm (0.0787 in.).

    5. Connect the connector.

    6. Install the wire harness to the 2 hooks.

    7. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position airbag sensor.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for 6 Way Seat Type)


    1. A003ZR5

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seat cushion edge protector LH with the screw.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for 4 Way Seat Type)

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seat cushion edge protector LH with the screw.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for 6 Way Seat Type)

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seat cushion edge protector RH with the screw.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for 4 Way Seat Type)

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seat cushion edge protector RH with the screw.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  11. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

      Engage the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (for 6 Way Seat Type)

      Engage the clip.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for 6 Way Seat Type)

      Engage the clip.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Clean the front seatback frame surface.

      Apply 4 pieces of double-sided tape to install a new front seatback cover to the front seatback frame.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Clean the front seat cushion frame surface.

      Apply 3 pieces of double-sided tape to install a new front seat cushion cover to the front seat cushion frame.

  17. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 14 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  18. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the front seatback frame.

    2. A003VUXE01

      Attach the bracket of the separate type front seatback cover to the front seatback spring assembly in the order indicated in the illustration.

    3. Install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      CAUTION:


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.

      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

    4. A003YC9

      Engage the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    5. A003WJ0

      Engage the fastener.

    6. A003XJV

      Close the 2 fasteners.

    7. A003X2O

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seat back pad with 5 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      Engage the 2 fasteners.

  19. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A003YWI

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 21 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat cushion frame.

      Engage each hook.

      Engage the 4 hooks.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:

        Engage the clamp to connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A003VHS

        Engage the 2 clamps to connect the seat heater wire harness.

      2. Connect the connector.

      3. A003ZL4

        Engage the clamp to connect the seat heater wire harness.

      4. Connect the connector.

    6. A003X68

      Engage the fastener to secure the side airbag wire harness.

    7. A003WIE

      Connect the rubber band.

  21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD


    1. A003WI6

      Engage the 4 claws to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Engage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    3. Connect each connector.

  23. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Engage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    3. Connect each connector.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Engage the clip.

    2. Engage the 11 claws.

    3. Install the front seat cushion shield with the screw.

  25. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for 6 Way Seat Type)


    1. A003ZAO

      Install the vertical adjusting handle with the screw.

  26. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE


    1. A003V2M

      Engage the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle.

  27. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

      Install the seat adjuster cover cap.

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
