DESCRIPTION

If the seat belt control ECU judges that there is a malfunction in its internal circuit as a result of self-diagnosis, or if the power source voltage (+B) is not input to the seat belt control ECU, this DTC will be stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (+B TERMINAL VOLTAGE)

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    2. Disconnect the seat belt control ECU connector.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      H6-7 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    6. Reconnect seat belt control ECU connector.

    7. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
