FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:


  • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

  • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback cover, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with a new one.

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

Tech Tips

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Manual Seat)


    1. A003ZH5

      Disconnect the rubber band.

    2. A003VXJ

      Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to remove the airbag wire harness.

    3. A003X68

      Disengage the fastener and separate the airbag wire harness.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A003ZL4

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

  3. REMOVE AIRBAG WIRE HARNESS (for Power Seat)


    1. A003Y12

      Disconnect the rubber band.

    2. A003YSD

      Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to remove the airbag wire harness.

    3. A003X68

      Disengage the fastener and separate the airbag wire harness.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A003ZL4

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

  4. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. A003ZVN

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
