After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).
REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)
DISCONNECT NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
Check that the power switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the connector.

When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY
Disconnect each connector.
Disengage the clamp.

Remove the 2 bolts <A> and 2 screws <B>.

Disengage the 12 claws.
Disengage the 5 guides and remove the upper instrument panel assembly as shown in the illustration.
Do not damage the upper instrument panel assembly.
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
When storing the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
Remove the 2 screws.
Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, lean the instrument panel and disengage the 3 hooks as shown in the illustration.

Do not damage the deployment surface of the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly from the upper instrument panel assembly.
REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, release the 2 airbag connector locks.

Disconnect the 2 airbag connectors to remove the No. 3 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
