LIGHTING SYSTEM Interior Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the front interior lights and rear interior light.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Check that the lights operate.

      Main Body
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Illuminated Entry System Front interior lights and rear interior light ON/OFF Interior light on/off switch off (not pushed), interior light door switch on (not pushed) and all doors closed
      OK
      Each light fades in.

    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Perform the check under the following condition:


      • Map light switch LH and RH off

      • Interior light door switch in DOOR position

      2B-27 - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

  3. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
