DESCRIPTION

When the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects that the glass breakage sensor (back door glass) is broken, the theft deterrent system switches from the armed state to the alarm sounding state.

  1. Click here

    INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A003VKCE02

      Disconnect the MB main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2B-15 - MB-19 (GPBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      2B-15 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the V10 glass breakage sensor (back door glass) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2B-15 - V10-2 (SSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      V10-2 (SSR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      V10-3 (SSR-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    INSPECT GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR (BACK DOOR GLASS)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (SSR+) - 3 (SSR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      2 (SSR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
