DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and the ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1AED)

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - REAR RIGHT SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the A49 connector from the clearance warning ECU.

    2. Disconnect the U1 connector from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A49-7 (BOR) - U1-1 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-6 (SOR) - U1-3 (SI)
      A49-22 (E1) - U1-5 (EI)
      A49-7 (BOR) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
      A49-6 (SOR) - Body ground
      A49-22 (E1) - Body ground

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR RIGHT SENSOR - REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the U1 and U3 connectors from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      U1-2 (BO) - U3-1 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      U1-4 (SO) - U3-3 (SI)

    1. Disconnect the U3 and U4 connectors from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
