INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precautions for G-BOOK Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H145 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H145-11 (IND1) - T6-19 (IND1) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-12 (IND2) - T6-18 (IND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-26 (SIG-) - T6-16 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-11 (IND1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H145-12 (IND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H145-26 (SIG-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

    2. Connect 2 dry-cell batteries in series.

      (Map Light Assembly)

      Connect a positive (+) lead to terminal 19 (IND1) or 18 (IND2), and a negative (-) lead to terminal 16 (GND) of the map light assembly connector.

    4. Check if the illumination for the emergency call switch comes on.

      OK
      The red indicator comes on when the positive (+) lead from the batteries is connected to terminal 19 (IND1) and the negative (-) lead is connected to terminal 16 (GND).
      The green indicator comes on when the positive (+) lead from the batteries is connected to terminal 18 (IND2) and the negative (-) lead is connected to terminal 16 (GND).
