DESCRIPTION

If an open circuit in the roof antenna assembly is detected continuously for 1 minute as a result of a terminal check performed by the telematics transceiver every minute after the power switch is turned on (ACC), this DTC will be stored.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.


    NEXT
  2. CHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    NG
    OK
  3. INSPECT ROOF ANTENNA ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the installation condition.


      1. Check the roof antenna assembly for any installation problems.

        OK
        The roof antenna assembly is installed correctly.
    2. Disconnect the roof antenna assembly connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Disconnect the No. 3 antenna cord sub-assembly connector from the roof antenna assembly.

    2. Disconnect the No. 3 antenna cord sub-assembly connector from the vehicle side wire harness.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      2 - 3 Always Below 1 Ω
      2a - 3a Always Below 1 Ω
      2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      2a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly connector from the No. 3 antenna cord sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly connector from the vehicle side wire harness.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 3 Always Below 1 Ω
      3a - 3a Always Below 1 Ω
      3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      3a - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)

      Disconnect the vehicle side wire harness connector from the No. 2 antenna cord sub-assembly.

    2. Disconnect the vehicle side wire harness connector from the telematics transceiver.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3 - 1 Always Below 1 Ω
      3a - 1a Always Below 1 Ω
      3 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. CLEAR DTC

  9. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER


    1. Replace the telematics transceiver with a known good one and check if the same problem occurs again Click here.
