DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in communication between the telematics transceiver and the airbag sensor assembly as a result of the telematics transceiver self check, this DTC will be stored.

  1. CHECK DTC (SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    NG

    GO TO SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.


    NEXT

  3. RECHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H145 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the H34 airbag sensor assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H145-24 (GSW) - H34-24 (GSW3) Always Below 1 Ω
      H145-24 (GSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  5. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

      Disconnect the H145 telematics transceiver connector.

      Check the input waveform.


      1. Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below. (Check the waveform from the back of the wire harness connector of the telematics transceiver while the airbag sensor assembly connectors are connected.

        Tool setting 5.0 V/DIV., 20 ms/DIV.

  6. REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the airbag sensor assembly with a known good one and check if the same DTC is output again.
