NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Navigation ECU

DESCRIPTION

• The navigation computer sub-assembly and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

• Using this circuit, the navigation computer sub-assembly sends power to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the navigation computer sub-assembly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

   
   

   1. Disconnect the H60 navigation computer sub-assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H60-20 (SNS2) - T6-11 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω H60-4 (MACC) - T6-14 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω H60-5 (MIN+) - T6-13 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω H60-6 (MIN-) - T6-12 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω H60-20 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H60-4 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H60-5 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H60-6 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher H60-7 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

2. INSPECT NAVIGATION COMPUTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Reconnect the H60 navigation computer sub-assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

   3.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H60-4 (MACC) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 4 to 6 V

   4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H60-7 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω H60-6 (MIN-) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

3. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Disconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

   2.

4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Reconnect the H60 navigation computer sub-assembly connector.

   2.

      Reconnect the T6 map light assembly connector.

   3. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

   4. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 13 (MCO+) and 12 (MCO-) of the T6 map light assembly connector.

   5. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.

      Result
