DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU assembly receives an electronically controlled brake system malfunction signal from the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) via the CAN communication line, DTC C1A50 is stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    READ OUTPUT DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / DTC.

    5. Read the DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC C1A50)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    4. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) and 170 km/h (105 mph).

      2. Turn the cruise control switch (ON-OFF button) on.

      3. Push the -/SET switch to activate the cruise control.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / DTC.

    6. Read the DTCs.

    REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly (Click here).

    CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS (DTC C1A50)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    4. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tip:

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) and 170 km/h (105 mph).

      2. Turn the cruise control switch (ON-OFF button) on.

      3. Push the -/SET switch to activate the cruise control.

    5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / DTC.

    REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER WITH MASTER CYLINDER


    1. Replace the brake booster with master cylinder (skid control ECU) (Click herefor LHD,Click herefor RHD).

    CHECK WHETHER DTC OUTPUT RECURS


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    4. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
