CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• The power management control ECU detects a cruise control switch signal and sends it to the combination meter assembly through CAN. Then the cruise control indicator light comes on.

• The cruise control indicator light circuit uses CAN for communication. If there is a malfunction in this circuit, check for DTCs in the CAN communication system before troubleshooting this circuit.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.

   5. Check the cruise control indicator light by performing the Active Test.

2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

   5. Check the Data List to confirm proper function of the cruise control indicator light.
