PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A003TC8

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new parking brake cable support clamp sub-assembly to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A003S5H

      Insert the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly into the body.

    2. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure to engage the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly clip onto the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

    4. A003TMYE02

      Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

    5. Engage the clamp to install the parking brake cable support clamp sub-assembly.

  3. INSTALL UPPER NO. 2 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the upper No. 2 front floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL UPPER NO. 1 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the upper No. 1 front floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear floor side member brace sub-assembly with the 4 bolts and a new clip.

      Torque:
      54 N*m  { 551 kgf*cm, 40 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH


    1. Install the rear floor side member cover LH with the nut and 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE END STOPPER


    1. A003UO4

      Engage the 2 claws to install the parking brake cable end stopper to the parking brake equalizer.

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A003RNU

      Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake cable end stopper.

    2. A003SYV

      Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake lever sub-assembly.

    3. Bend down the parking brake lever claw.

    4. Temporarily install the adjusting nut to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

  11. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS PROTECTOR


    1. Engage the 3 clips to install the 2 wire harness protectors to the parking brake lever sub-assembly.

  12. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET RH


    1. Install the upper console box mounting bracket RH to the parking brake lever sub-assembly with the screw.

  13. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. Install the upper console box mounting bracket LH to the parking brake lever sub-assembly with the screw.

  14. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER ASSEMBLY
