LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the power switch to on (IG).

    2. Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

    3. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    4. Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.

    5. Uncover the automatic light control sensor.

    6. Check that the low beam headlights and taillights go off.

  2. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. When light control switch is in AUTO position :


      1. Close the driver door.

      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the taillights, low beam headlights, high beam headlights, front fog lights or rear fog lights on.

      4. Turn the power switch off.

      5. Open the driver door.

      6. Check that all of lights go off immediately.

    2. When light control switch is in tail or head position :


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Turn the low beam headlights, high beam headlights, or front fog lights on.

      3. Turn the power switch off.

      4. Check that the low beam headlights, high beam headlights and front fog lights go off immediately.

        Tech Tips

        The lights may not turn off because of the vehicle destination. If the lights remain on, open the driver side door, and check that all of the lights go off.

  3. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


    1. Turn the light control switch off.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Parking brake switch off (*1)

    4. Check that the daytime running lights come on.

    5. Turn on the parking lights, taillights and license plate lights while the daytime running lights are on.

    6. Check that the daytime running lights turn off.
