    The following items can be customized.

    Note


    • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.

    • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.

    • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.


    1. Customizing with the intelligent tester


      1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

      2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

      4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Utility / Customize / Light Control.

      5. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Display Default Content Setting Relevant ECU
        Disp Ex ON Sen Normal Changes the ambient brightness level required to dim the lights such as the indicator lights of the combination meter and A/C indicator light. Light2, Light1, Normal, Dark1 or Dark2 Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Disp Ex OFF Sen Normal Changes the ambient brightness level required to cancel the dimming of the lights such as the indicator lights of the combination meter and A/C indicator light. Light2, Light1, Normal, Dark1 or Dark2 Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
        Sensitivity Normal Adjusts the sensitivity of the automatic light control system. Light2, Light1, Normal, Dark1 or Dark2 Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU)
    2. Daytime running light ON/OFF switching function (For vehicles with daytime running light illumination control that does not use the release of the parking brake.)

      Tech Tips

      The daytime running lights will be re-enabled after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.


      1. Before disabling or re-enabling the daytime running lights, check that the following conditions are met:


        • Power switch off

        • Light control switch in OFF position

      2. Move the dimmer switch from low to high 3 times or more within 5 seconds after turning the power switch on (READY).

      3. Check that the combination meter assembly sounds the buzzer once.

        Tech Tips

        If any of the following conditions is met during the above operation, the operation is canceled.


        • Power switch off

        • Parking brake switch off

        • The vehicle is moving

        • Light control switch in TAIL position

        • Light control switch in HEAD position

        • Light control switch in AUTO position
