HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER (w/o Front Fender Mudguard)


    1. A003TYCE01

      Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

    2. A003TN7

      Remove the 8 clips and 6 screws.

    3. Remove the 4 grommets and front fender liner.

      Tech Tips

      The grommets need to be replaced with new ones because they will break when they are removed.

  3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD (w/ Front Fender Mudguard)


    1. A003RYQ

      Remove the 3 screws and front fender mudguard.

  4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER (w/ Front Fender Mudguard)


    1. A003TYCE01

      Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

    2. A003SFM

      Remove the 8 clips and 4 screws.

    3. Remove the 4 grommets and front fender liner.

      Tech Tips

      The grommets need to be replaced with new ones because they will break when they are removed.

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)


    1. A003SX0

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable.

    2. A003UKK

      Remove the 3 bolts and hood lock assembly.

  6. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)


    1. A003SIO

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A003US6

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable.

    3. A003UZQ

      Remove the 3 bolts and hood lock assembly.

  7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A003S2R

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.

  8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A003SWH

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.

  9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.

  10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.
