REMOVE BACK DOOR UPPER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
Disengage the 6 clips and 4 claws, and remove the back door upper trim panel assembly.
REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT SET
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 screws.
Disengage the 2 clips and remove the center stop light set.
Tech Tips
Replace the clips with new ones after removing the center stop light set.
REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH
Disengage the pin.
Disengage the clip and claw, and remove the back door side garnish together with the package tray trim garnish hook.
Disengage the 2 claws and remove the package tray trim garnish hook.
REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.
REMOVE BACK DOOR INSIDE HANDLE
Disengage the 4 claws and remove the back door inside handle.
REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
Remove the clip (A).
Disengage the 11 clips and remove the back door trim panel assembly.
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP
Remove the rear wiper arm head cap.
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
Remove the rear wiper arm nut, and the rear wiper arm and blade assembly.
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
Remove the rear wiper motor grommet.
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 3 bolts and the rear wiper motor assembly.
REMOVE REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 grommets and 4 nuts.
Disengage the 3 clips and remove the rear spoiler sub-assembly.
Remove the 4 gaskets from the rear spoiler sub-assembly.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS LOWER MOULDING

Using a knife, cut off the back door glass lower moulding as shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the vehicle body with the knife.
If the vehicle body is damaged, repair the damaged portion by applying an anti-rust coating after removing the back door glass.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS OUTSIDE MOULDING

Using a knife, cut off the back door glass outside moulding as shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the vehicle body with the knife.
If the vehicle body is damaged, repair the damaged portion by applying an anti-rust coating after removing the back door glass.
Remove the remaining back door glass outside moulding from the back door glass.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS
Disconnect the 2 back door defogger connectors.

Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.
Note
When separating the back door glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the vehicle's paint or interior/exterior ornaments.

From the interior, insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and back door glass as shown in the illustration.
Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

Place matchmarks over the glass and vehicle body on the locations indicated in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Matchmarks are not needed to be placed if the glass is not going to be reused.
Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the back door glass.
Note
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the back door glass.
Using suction cups, remove the back door glass.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER
Using a scraper, remove the No. 2 back door glass spacer.
Note
Be careful not to damage the No. 2 back door glass spacer.
Be sure to replace the No. 2 back door glass spacer with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER
Using a scraper, remove the No. 1 back door glass spacer.
Note
Be careful not to damage the No. 1 back door glass spacer.
Be sure to replace the No. 1 back door glass spacer with a new one.
CLEAN BACK DOOR GLASS
Clean the outer edge of the back door glass with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the back door glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass.
Even if using a new back door glass, clean the back door glass with a non-residue solvent.
CLEAN VEHICLE BODY

Using a scraper, remove the moulding and adhesive from the back door glass.
Clean and shape the contact surface of the vehicle body.
On the contact surface of the vehicle body, use a knife to cut away excess adhesive as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Clean the contact surface of the vehicle body with cleaner.
Tech Tips
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
