  1. INSPECT SOLAR SENSOR

      Disconnect the connector from the solar sensor.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F1-1 (SS+) - F1-2 (SS-)*2 Solar sensor covered with a cloth. ∞ Ω
      F1-1 (SS+) - F1-2 (SS-)*2 Solar sensor exposed to electric light. Except ∞ Ω
      e1-1 (SS+) - e1-2 (SS-)*3 Solar sensor covered with a cloth. ∞ Ω
      e1-1 (SS+) - e1-2 (SS-)*3 Solar sensor exposed to electric light. Except ∞ Ω

      Tech Tips

      Use an incandescent light for inspection. Bring it within about 30 cm (11.8 in.) of the solar sensor.

      If the resistance is not as specified, replace the solar sensor.
