FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Seat Cushion Heater Assembly LH)

      Check the seat cushion heater.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the front seat cushion heater assembly LH and check the seat cushion heater.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 1

        Battery negative (-) → 2

        		 Always Seat cushion heater becomes warm

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

        Note

        Immediately after confirming that the seat heater is functioning normally, remove the battery leads. Failing to do so may cause the seat heater to overheat.

    2. Check the thermostat.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the front seat cushion heater assembly LH and check the seat cushion heater.

        OK
        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → 1

        Battery negative (-) → 2

        		 Always Seat cushion heater temperature below 44°C (111°F)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

        Note

        Immediately after confirming that the seat heater is functioning normally, remove the battery leads. Failing to do so may cause the seat heater to overheat.
