FRONT SEATBACK HEATER INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly to the end of the seat cover with 4 new tag pins.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. A003U2LE03

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 8 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the front seatback cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

    2. A003TAX

      Engage the 2 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

      *1 Bracket

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

      Install the front seatback cover bracket with the screw.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.

      • Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • Install the bracket securely.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Temporarily install the front seat cushion cover with pad to the front seat frame assembly with adjuster.

      install the hook.

    3. A003T3Y

      Engage the hooks.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the 2 clamps.

      for Passenger Side:

      Connect the belt warning occupant detection sensor.

      Engage the hooks.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD


    1. A003SIAE02

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

      Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      41 N*m  { 420 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding part of the seat adjuster.

    2. Connect each connector and clamp.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD


    1. A003SSGE02

      Engage the guide.

    2. Install the front seat cushion shield with the 2 screws.

  8. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE


    1. A003RQ2

      Install the vertical adjusting handle with the 2 screws.

  9. INSTALL VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER


    1. A003TJE

      Engage the 3 claws and install the vertical adjuster cover.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE


    1. A003RPV

      Engage the claw and install the reclining adjuster release handle.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Connect the connectors under the seat.

    3. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

    4. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    6. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the foremost position.

    7. A003S68E01

      Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

  12. INSPECT FRONT SEAT SLIDE ADJUSTER LOCK


    1. During sliding operation of the front seat, check that the left and right adjusters move together smoothly and lock simultaneously.

      If the seat adjusters do not lock simultaneously, loosen the seat fixation bolts to adjust the adjuster's position.

  13. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the inner seat track cover.

  14. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the outer seat track cover.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  17. INSTALL BATTERY BOX COVER


    1. Engage the 3 guides to install the battery box cover.

  18. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX


    1. Install the rear deck floor box.

  19. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT


    1. Install the rear floor mat.

  20. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Check the seat heater operation.


      1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      2. Push the seat heater switch ON.

      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.

  21. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
