INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH

1.

   *a	Component without harness connected (Seat Heater Switch)
   *1	LH Side Switch
   *2	RH Side Switch

   Check the switch function.

   
   

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 4 (IG) - 3 (RH) OFF 10 kΩ or higher 4 (IG) - 3 (RH) RH side switch ON Below 1 Ω 5 (IG) - 6 (LH) OFF 10 kΩ or higher 5 (IG) - 6 (LH) LH side switch ON Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

2.

   *a	Component without harness connected (Seat Heater Switch)
   *1	Seat Heater Switch Indicator (for LH Side)
   *2	Seat Heater Switch Indicator (for RH Side)

   Check the seat heater switch indicator.

   
   

   1. Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch and check that the seat heater switch indicator illuminates.

      OK
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 4 (IG) Battery negative (-) → 2 (E) RH side switch ON Seat heater switch indicator (for RH side) illuminates Battery positive (+) → 5 (IG) Battery negative (-) → 2 (E) LH side switch ON Seat heater switch indicator (for LH side) illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.

   Check the seat heater switch illumination.

   
   

   1. Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch and check that the seat heater switch illumination illuminates.

      OK
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → 7 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → 8 (ILL-) Always Seat heater switch illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch.
