INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

2. Visually check for defects with the center airbag sensor assembly installed on the vehicle.

   
   

   1. The defects are as follows:

      
      

      • Cracks on the sensor housing

      • Dents on the sensor housing

      • Chips on the sensor housing

      • Cracks or other damage to the connector

      • Peeling of the label

      OK
      No defects are found.

      Tech Tips

      If any of the defects is found, replace the center airbag sensor assembly with a new one.

INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED)

1. Replace the center airbag sensor assembly.

   Tech Tips

   The center airbag sensor assembly should be replaced after any of the airbags has deployed, as it has been subjected to an impact.
