STEERING PAD INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD


    1. Check that the power switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. A003UUM

      Connect the airbag connector to the steering pad.

      Note

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    4. Push in the lock to install the airbag connector.

    5. Connect the horn connector to the steering pad as shown in the illustration.

    6. A003S4N

      Push the steering pad to engage the 2 hooks.

      Note

      Make sure that the hooks are securely inserted into the steering pad holes.

  2. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. INSTALL BATTERY BOX COVER


    1. Engage the 3 guides to install the battery box cover.

  4. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX


    1. Install the rear deck floor box.

  5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT


    1. Install the rear floor mat.

  6. INSPECT STEERING PAD


    1. Make sure that the horn sounds.
