After normal/trouble signal is output from intrusion sensor as result of self-diagnosis, following malfunctions are detected:


  1. ISIF line circuit is open

  2. Reception of signals other than normal/trouble signal


  • Intrusion sensor (theft warning radar sensor)

  • Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

  • Wire harness or connector

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the E121 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and O8 map light assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E121-12 (ISIF) - O8-4 (IOUT) Always Below 1 Ω
      E121-12 (ISIF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
  2. REPLACE INTRUSION SENSOR (THEFT WARNING RADAR SENSOR)


    1. Replace the intrusion sensor (theft warning radar sensor) Click here.
