DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the door courtesy light switches.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the intelligent tester.

      1. Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the L3 front door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2D-35 - L3-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        2D-35 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for Front RH


      1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      2. Disconnect the M1 front door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2B-31 - M1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        2B-31 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      2. Disconnect the L5 rear door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        E120-23 (LCTY) - L5-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        E120-23 (LCTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for Rear RH


      1. Disconnect the E120 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

      2. Disconnect the M3 rear door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        E120-6 (RCTY) - M3-1 Always Below 1 Ω
        E120-6 (RCTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

    2. Disconnect the R3 back door lock assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      E120-19 (BCTY) - R3-3 (D+) Always Below 1 Ω
      E120-19 (BCTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
