DESCRIPTION

The display signal from the rear television camera assembly is transmitted to the inner rear view mirror assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA)


    1. Disconnect the O10 connector from the inner rear view mirror assembly.

    2. Disconnect the R12 connector from the rear television camera assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R12-2 (CV+) - O10-7 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R12-4 (CB+) - O10-14 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      R12-3 (CGND) - O10-13 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      R12-1 (CV-) - O10-6 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      R12-2 (CV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R12-4 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R12-3 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R12-1 (CV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the R12 connector to the rear television camera assembly.

      Reconnect the O10 connector to the inner rear view mirror assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      O10-13 (CGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Power switch on (READY)

      Reverse (R) selected

      5.5 to 7.05 V

      Check that the O10 connector is connected to the inner rear view mirror assembly.

      Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

      Tech Tips

      A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the inner rear view mirror assembly with the connector connected.
