DESCRIPTION

The ultrasonic sensor sends and receives ultrasonic waves. Based on the received wave, the sensor calculates the approximate distance between the vehicle and the obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the f2 connector from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right center sensor).

    2. Disconnect the E104 connector from the clearance warning ECU assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      f2-3 (T) - E104-12 (BOR) Always Below 1 Ω
      f2-2 (S) - E104-4 (S2) Always Below 1 Ω
      f2-1 (E) - E104-11 (E2) Always Below 1 Ω
      f2-3 (T) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      f2-2 (S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      f2-1 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR)


    1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor with a new or known good one Click here.
