NAVIGATION SYSTEM Navigation Voice Circuit between Radio Receiver and Extension Module

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is used when the voice guidance in the navigation system is on or the voice switch of the steering pad switch is pushed.

Using this circuit, the extension module sends signals to the radio and display receiver assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - EXTENSION MODULE)


    1. Disconnect the radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the extension module connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      i2-22 (VOI+) - i1-31 (VOI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      i2-23 (VOI-) - i1-30 (VOI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      i2-22 (VOI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      i2-23 (VOI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
