Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
The nuts must not be reused.
Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
Install the front seat side airbag assembly with 2 new nuts.
Engage the 2 clamps.
INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Manual Seat)
Install the front seatback cover bracket with the nut.
Note
For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
Install the bracket securely.
Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.
Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 3 new hog rings.
Note
Be careful not to damage the cover.
When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Power Seat)
Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad to the front seatback spring sub-assembly.
Engage the 4 claws and install the 2 front seat headrest supports.
Install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the nut.
Note
For vehicles with side airbags, the side airbags may not be activated normally unless the front seatback cover is securely installed.
Check that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
Install the bracket securely.
Engage the 2 hooks.

Using hog ring pliers, install the fastening rubber to the front seatback spring with 3 new hog rings.
Note
Be careful not to damage the cover.
When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
Close the 2 fasteners.
Push in the lower part of 2 fasteners to the separate type front seatback cover as shown in the illustration.
Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

CONNECT FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WIRE HARNESS
for Manual Seat:
Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.
Note
Be careful not to damage the cover.
When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
Engage the fastener to secure the front seat side airbag assembly wire harness.
w/ Seat Heater System:
Engage the clamp and connect the seat heater wire harness connector.
Connect the front seat side airbag assembly wire harness to the seat clamp.
Engage the claw and 3 clamps to install the front seat side airbag assembly wire harness.
Connect the rubber band.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Connect the connectors under the seat.
Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.
Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.
Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.
Tech Tips
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the foremost position.
Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
Tech Tips
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)
Place the front seat assembly in the cabin.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Connect the connectors under the seat.
Connect the cable to the auxiliary negative (-) battery terminal.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.
Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
Tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.
Note
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.
Tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
Note
Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.
INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)
Engage the claw and guide and install the inner seat track cover.
INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)
Engage the 2 claws to install the inner seat track cover.
INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Manual Seat)
Engage the 2 claws and install the outer seat track cover.
INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER (for Power Seat)
Engage the 2 claws to install the outer seat track cover.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Manual Seat)

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD
Engage the 2 guides to install the rear No. 3 floor board.
INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
Install the rear deck floor box.
INSTALL REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD
Engage the 3 guides <A>.
Engage the 2 guides <B> and install the rear No. 2 floor board as shown in the illustration.
INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat)
During sliding operation of the front seat, check that the left and right adjusters move together smoothly and lock simultaneously.
If the seat adjusters do not lock simultaneously, loosen the seat mounting bolts to adjust the adjuster position.
w/ Seat Heater Seat System:
Check the seat heater operation.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Push the seat heater switch on.
Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
