NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD) Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly sends an external device sound signal to the navigation receiver assembly via the sound signal circuit.

The sound signal that has been sent is amplified by the stereo component amplifier assembly, and then is sent to the speakers.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, navigation receiver assembly or speakers.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER)


    1. A01J9R6E46

      Disconnect the L109 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. A01JBNOE05

      Disconnect the SJ No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L109-19 (AUXI) - SJ-4 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω
      L109-18 (AGND) - SJ-5 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      L109-15 (ARI) - SJ-2 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      L109-17 (ALI) - SJ-1 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      L109-16 (ASGN) - SJ-3 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      L109-19 (AUXI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L109-18 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L109-15 (ARI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L109-17 (ALI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
