INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC P0AFC-123 IS OUTPUT)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read output DTCs Click here.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      P0AFC-123 is not output. A
      P0AFC-123 is also output. B
    5. Disconnect the intelligent tester from the DLC3.

  2. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Read output DTCs.

    5. Using the intelligent tester, make a note of the freeze frame data item "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V14".

    6. Compare the freeze frame data item "Battery Block Vol -V01 to V14" values with those shown in the following combination tables.

      Tech Tips

      When an internal malfunction occurs in the battery smart unit, this symptom (difference in voltage of 0.3 V or more for all 7 pairs of blocks) will occur.
